Qualifications & Experience
I have extensive experience working in and with school districts across Michigan. For 25 years I have served as a trusted advisor to schools for accounting, finance and construction. During that period I was also employed by two districts in various financial capacities. I believe this experience uniquely qualifies me to serve on the Board and I am confident I have added value to the Board through my service to date.
Key Issues
School Districts across Michigan are dealing with a number of key issues, most notably, the state of school finance and Michigan’s economy. DeWitt Public Schools has already dealt with many of these issues, cutting in excess of $1,000,000 from the budget in the last two years.
Philosophy
Through many years sitting through Board meetings as a school district employee and a Board member, I have had the privilege of observing and working with some of the most dedicated individuals. Those people are the foundation for my perspective on how a Board should function and best serve the district.
